Contactless Food Delivery During Quarantine

When Covid-19 hit, like many, life as they knew it changed for the Carter family of five. Mr. Carter was laid off and he and his wife didn’t know how they would support their three growing children, including 5th and 3rd graders who attend Achieve Community Charter School and a six-month-old baby born in Feb 2020. They knew they had to put food on the table but felt that trip to the store was too risky. They feared that they could catch the virus and infect their children. SWPN’s contactless food delivery was their saving grace. Every week, the family received food packages as well as baby supplies. These weekly deliveries allowed the family to safely quarantine at home. As the city began to reopen, Mr. Carter began to safely venture out to the store every couple of weeks while his wife stayed home with the kids.
